Best Practice

I am sure we all enjoy to face-to-face meetings back in the Rhodes Room at Bramhall Village Club.

For a short period, we will be running hybrid sessions when events & Presenters allow, using Zoom as an alternative for those members who are unsure about, or cannot physically, attend. This will also provide us with an alternative, should government restrictions be re-introduced.

Though we will do our best, due to restrictions within the Room, the Zoom experience will not be the same as when we were all meeting remotely.

Safety of Members Attending Meetings
It will be obvious to all, that to ensure the safety of members, it would be good practice to put in place a number of protocols that go beyond the government guidelines. As a Committee, we have tried to simplify requirements to make them as easy as possible to observe. Of course, the success of this will rely on your common sense and goodwill & your trust in each other.

As COVID Levels are currently high, please take a Lateral Flow test if possible, before attending the Meeting.

  1. If you have any symptoms of COVID 19 (a high temperature, new and persistent cough, or a loss of, or change in, sense of taste or smell)

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE MEETING,
but follow the Government Guidance on Testing and Self-Isolation.

  2. DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU NEED TO SELF-ISOLATE.
For example because you have been asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace, are required to isolate after travel, have a close contact with COVID etc. in accordance with the regulations current at the time.

  3. In accordance with BVC H&S Policy, masks should be worn on entering the premises and while moving around the building (unless exempt) but will not be obligatory once you are seated - however, you are welcome to wear one if you feel happier doing so.

  4. On Arrival at the Rhodes Room: Please use the hand sanitiser located on the wall at the top of the stairs before entering the Room.

  5. Book in at the door before entering further into the room.
Carol or another Committee Member will keep a register of names to register your attendance on the night and identify attendees in case of the need to evacuate in an emergency. (e.g. due to fire).

  6. Chairs will be set out observing social distancing. Please do not move them.

  7. The room will be ventilated where possible. It may be an idea to being additional clothing.

  8. Toilets will be available with the usual sanitisation procedures applying. Use the Hand Sanitiser before re-entering the room.

  9. Please bring your own drinks/biscuits. It will not be possible for drinks to be served at the break.

  10. To minimise contact, we will not collect cash on the night, but will continue to bill members quarterly for sessions attended.

We all hope these simple rules will help members feel more comfortable on their return
to the Bramhall Village Club Building.
